By the way, are we planning anything Halloween-ish?

I just noticed: Hallo Wien (=hello Vienna) - Halloween ;D
Anyway, I got my ticket. Gonna arrive at about 5:30 pm at Vienna Westbahnhof (and leave at 12:40 on the 2nd).

okay, so here we go. At the airport take the bus to Westbahnhof. The bus station is at the left side, when you leave the airport. It´s signposted. From the Westbahnhof you have to do a short walk to the hotel. Here is a link to show you the way. I tried to translate the German directions google gave me, but I think it´s too confusing. maps.google.de/maps?f=d&saddr=Haltestelle+Wien+Westbahnhof,+%C3%96sterreich+(Wien+Westbahnhof)&daddr=Wallgasse+23,+1060+Wien,+%C3%96sterreich&hl=de&geocode=&mra=ls&dirflg=w&sll=48.193843,16.338129&sspn=0.008926,0.017188&ie=UTF8&ll=48.194887,16.338236&spn=0.008925,0.017188&z=16

Bad news. The DB (German train company) decided to take out some ICE trains to test them. I mean, ok, it's for security reasons. And they will on Friday at the connection to Vienna. Apparently two trains don't go at all. The others have less wagons, reservations will not be displayed, nearly all trains will be IC instead of ICE from Nürnberg on. And they'll all end at Passau, from where I'll have to use the Austrian trains. Now my seat reservation means nothing anymore. I'll get the money back, nice, but I might have to sit on the fucking floor for 8 hours. And I'm still a bit sick! Getting there a bit later is alright with me. Maybe also having to change trains. But I want my fucking seat reservation! I don't even know yet if my train will go there at all. *sigh* I'll try to find out more. But atm I have no idea when I'll be arriving in Vienna. I have collected something like "miles" and I'm thinking of using them to upgrade to 1st class. But I'm not sure, maybe it'll be not neccessary and maybe I won't even have a seat in 1st class.... I don't know. *sigh*

Fingers crossed that you can fix the problem, hunny! I've missed my train in Mannheim and so I hadn't a reservation either. The people almost startet a fight over the few spare seats!
