My story is not very special... but this is it. My Mom is a Queen-fan from 1974 (she was 14 then). It was almost impossible in USSR, but she could buy their records, posters etc. I was born in the year of "Hot Space" and Queen's music was the background of my growing up. I remember how we cried for Freddie in 1991... And then... something happend... it started from a short drum part in "Ride the wild Wind" ... and went on & on and still goes. I can't say that I'm in love with Roger, it's rather respectation. I love him as a drummer, as a composer, adore his wise songs! The correct way to describe my feelings is to say that Roger Taylor is my Dad in music

My uncle, a huge Queen fan since he was at my age, took me and my sister to WWRY London this spring. I loved it and when we came back to Sweden I started to listen to Queen a bit on the computer, and my uncle gave me a few albums. To find out more facts about hem, I began to work on an essay in school, and read the interviews and such in the WWRY program. Me and my dad baught some DVD's with video hits and concerts ('In my defence' and 'No-one but you' made me cry myself to sleep) and after seeing an interview with Roger Taylor and John Deacon I couldn't help thinking both of them were really cute. So then I started to search for more facts about them for the essay, and I found this website. And not only I totally fell in love with his songwriting, I had also already been standing in lines for drumming classes for over a year before I fell for Queen. And this automn, I finally got to take classes once a week, and now he is my great hero. Well, next to my uncle of course...

Oh, thanks-thanks! But I still think that it is not something special. In other way, my love to Roger lead me to my drumplaying and I like it so much! Now I can't imagine myself without RT. My teenager's obsession grew into my own position in life. I BELIEVE IN MYSELF, trying to STOP THEESE STINKING NAZIS, and live FOLLOWING MY FOOTSTEPS TO MY GOAL.

If you say yourself that your teenager's obsession grew into your position in life, you're playing drums thanks to Roger and not to mention you grew up with Queen! That is something special, my friend!

Ok, lol, I'll still listen to his music until I die of old age ok, I'm only 17, nearly 18. ;D Hey, who do you think will be the first child to produce a grandchild for Roger ? Hey how about I get Rufus, I mean I'm only 17 and Rufus is 17 (I think). Then develop a relationship with him, and maybe meet Roger ;D What do you think ladies ?? Well, why not? Good luck! Can I be a bridesmaid? ;D

You're welcome, Cooper. It may sound funny or even crazy, but with passing of years I'm getting sure that Quenn is my destiny. And Roger too, of course. Many main things in my life were connected with this music (I wrote about it earlier), so I have all rights to say "Thanks". And I guess that the similar story each fan has.

I couldn't agree with you more, Tatka! Queen and their music made me the one I am today, and is still educating me emotionally. It's this weird feeling when I'm sad, angry or simply pushed in any way, and start to listen to Queen. It feels like I belong, it's a different kind of safety. I can't imagine my life without Queen now, and I don't understand how I ever made it through last year without it. I have started admitting things to myself a lot more, and I'm on the right track when it comes to finding myself. Thanks to Queen!

Ok, I'm not sure how hot this topic is, but EWWWW!!! Roger looks exactly like my dad, so I don't find him attractive at all. In fact, the first time I ever even laid eyes on the man was when he was standing at the sink washing dishes dressed in a school uniform. I remember wondering what HER name was ... LoL! That's how I found Queen. That video made me smile ... and just when I fell in love with their music *poof* they disappeared from the american continent!! I was pissed, I had to buy nearly ALL of their albums as imports. Imports are expensive!! I bought roughly 3 albums per year, saving my allowance every week and bypassing candy and theatre trips! Then, all my albums get torched in a fire in 2004!!! Ah, I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Queen has provided the soundtrack to the movie which is my life!!
