This is kinda hot topic at the moment! Basically alot of people have the impression he is really arrogant and moody! I have met him a few times and he has always been really really lovely. I think we all agree that he can come across as arrogant but he really isn't I happen to love him for his silly things like not talking photo's coz he's having a bad hair day and being honest about not being in the mood for autographs. I think you are right though they were equal in the band and they each have the right to be equally arrogant. Hey they always said they had to be a little bt to be successful anyway!

Of course he's arrogant. At least he has been like that in former times. People just tend to point that out, because they keep comparing him to Brian. And Brian is truly not the typical kind rock star. That's why Roger loses out on Brian.

And that could bring us into a whole other debate about Brian...

Of course he's arrogant. At least he has been like that in former times. Do you mean he didn't treat his fans in a nice manner or didn't stop for them? I've never met him so far (*sigh & sniff*), and I do get the impression that he can be cold sometimes (I mean on stage) - but when he smiles he comes across like the sweetest person on this earth...I just don't know...Anyway, this has nothing to do with his skills or his voice. I think he's an amazing and underrated singer and a tremendous songwriter - as for drumming I can't really judge because I'm not technical at all, but I tend to be carried away by a good rhythm, so he must be talented if he can do that to me! Judging him by his supposed arrogance is like judging Freddie by his bisexuality...

judging someone you don´t know in person as arrogant when he's talented and good looking is the obvious way to show your envy! I´m here with Eliza: compared to Brian Roger will always loose the competition 'Mr-Nice-Guy!

People should meet him first before passing judgement Give him to me... ;D I'm ready to evaluate the man!!! ;D Though I'm sure I'd be likely to forget not only my english, but even my mother tongue in such a situation!!! And I'd make a fool of myself or what. I met other artists before, but they were italian...Roger lives so far away from me, and I "worship" him from such a distance, that I don't know how I could react to his sudden nearness ...and his overwhelming smile . (Talking about tongues - nice new avvy Jen! the "Vision" tongue LOL!).

Me silenced? not likely at all LOL!!!!! But I guess I could go "err..." and "uhm..." a lot . No, I'd definitely try to say something worth listening, but I can't imagine the way it would come out from my mouth . There's a fact to consider - for me it's much easier to write than to talk in english...I can be audacious (in the good sense of it) on the occasion, but I'd need to meet Roger in a calm moment, without a big crowd around, and to have some time to start a decent conversation and make at ease...I won't be satisfied just with grabbing his hand and saying "I love you" or something like that. Well, I suppose I'll have to get used to this PR collaboration, and to wait for some concerts in Italy (or the 46664 or the musical...?) in a place not too far from me, and to hope that the right moment arrives... Sorry - very personal and a bit off topic!

without Roger I dont know if Queen would have been as huge I mean all four of them made the band I meant to respond to that before...yes, it's absolutely true that all 4 of them made the band, though Freddie was the driving force and the outstanding singer and the "image" of Queen. When I first got into Queen in a huge manner I was all Freddie - especially due to his voice - then I discovered each one of them in his own right, and came to appreciate the contribution that Brian, Roger and John gave to the band as musicians and/or singers and composers. We wouldn't very likely have had the American Idol thing or such low moments if Freddie were still alive...but apart from that, I personally esteem and appreciate all the boys and what each one of them gave to the band!

There were some "low" moments before. Just think of their appearance at the Montreux festival - miming.
