Have you heard Michael Ball's the show must go on? ARGH IT'S TERRIBLE. But G4.. I mean really, just no. And when Rog and Brian mentioned they liked it I was horrified! ahhhhhh I remember them saying they liked it. good GAWD! |

Didnt like Green Day's verison of WATC either. My friend susan loved their version to me they f--ked it up!! I was cringing when I heard it.

Susan not a Queen fan doesnt like them whatsoever. How can you now like Queen? So anyone who does a queen song she likes the way they do it.

I am highly critical of everyone who tries to cover a Queen song. Especially young bands.
Though I was impressed by the Ten Tenors. They also did Bo Rhap and I thought it was quite good (saw it on TV).
I think Metallica did Stone Cold Crazy and Blind Guardian did Spread your wings (it's ok) and some other rock band did Tie your mother down (was it Def Leppard?).

My theory is, you dont sound right don't do it. Before I went to see Almost Queen I was so leary until they started the first song. They are great and very detailed band. But when someone else does a Queen song that dont sound right, I go to the bar and start drinking. Im the same way with U2 tribute bands and people who do their music also. |

Yeah, I'm just listening to Bo Rhap on the radio.  There was a hit parade on the Radio: All time Favorites of Baden and Württemberg (the two parts of federal state I'm living in). And it's second!!!! (in both parts)  Well, it's among the first three songs everytime when they do it, together with Summer of '69 and Stairway to heaven. I couldn't vote, I was too late. Here are the other Queen songs: Baden296 - Under Pressure 179 - A kind of magic 126 - Who wants to live forever 124 - Radio Ga Ga 102 - I want to break free 85 - The show must go on 34 - We are the champions 32 - We will rock you Württemberg295 - Don't stop me now 214 - '39 172 - A kind of magic 171 - Radio Ga Ga 123 - The show must go on 109 - Who wants to live forever 74 - I want to break free 38 - We will rock you 35 - We are the champions What was quite funny is that on the 9th place in baden was "das Badnerlied" - a kind of hymn. ;D |

Hey that's brilliant!!! I've also listened to Queen on the radio a lot today. I managed to catch "Show must go on", "Kind of Magic" and "It's a hard life" on different stations.  |

Yesterday on the channel that did the hit parade (SWR1) there was a time when I was listening and every seconc song was Queen! It was like: Who wants to live forever - other song - Radio Ga Ga - other song - The show must go on ;D That's how radio should be! |
