Did anyone see it? Gosh, it was nice to see Pink Floyd again. Just for the word 'pink' you know but nobody stole the show.

I'm not a big Pink Floyd fan, but they sounded good. Enjoyed the Who. I also like REM so it was great to hear them in the afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by Snoop Dog - among my daughter's favourites. I also enjoyed Joss Stone as always.

It might just be my own perception but I had the feeling the atmosphere was colder than in Live Aid. That one was such an emblematic gig!

No matter what the occasion, there appears to be more at stake now for artists and technology has also moved on a lot since then necessitating a lot of efficiency with gadgetry. For sheer emotion though, Bob Geldof on 'I don't like Mondays' and the pause at 'the lesson today is how to die'....Also Annie Lennox carried the message brilliantly, as one might expect.

I didn't like Geldof much. I wouldn't want to sound rude but wouldn't you think he was dressed as if he had been rescued from one of his documentaries?. Sorry, hunnies, but I just missed ' I don't like Mondays' because duty called but the reports I heard weren't especially good. Maybe you have some more information on that. 'the lesson today is how to die'.... You wouldn't be talking about African people, would you?

The original lyrics clearly have nothing to do with Africa but he paused after that for poignancy - yes Africa, and the lessons that the children have to learn...Having said that, it's a vast continent. My ex-husband is from Ghana and there's a lot of positive things happening there even though it takes time. The debt cancellation will help them enormously- the country has had a functioning democracy for some years now.

It's so good to be able to help children in need and yes I think we should all do something to make this world a little better like the things you have mentioned.
