Oh this shirt is just so typical Brian!  What is this thing for colored shirts he's got? Did his parents give him white, black and grey clothes only, so that he has to catch up with the colors? Haha.. ;D This shirt is a little too conspicuous. But I also must admit that I find Brian's "special" taste in clothes kinda endearing about him.  When it doesn't come to velvet trousers of course. I thought I'd dig out some press quotes about our Bri's attire, hair etc. gathered in the course of my rounds of the media during this tour: Nineties style, at least, appeared to have passed May by without a trace - with curly mane, trainers and drainpipe jeans, he was, this evening, a guarantor of the continuity of this band. (Freie Presse Review of Leipzig) May, who seems to have a terminally awful taste in clothes, yanked on the heartstrings with an emotional rendition of Queen live favourite Love Of My Life... (Jo Manning, Cardiff Review) With his curly mane and reddish-black home-made guitar, he still looks as if he is making an appearance in a 1986 calendar. I'm not familiar with the people there anyway. I'd rather have a certain PEB gathering. Well I wasn't impressed with Jo Manning's review in general. She said she went to the loo during Brian's guitar solos which, in my opinion, is an utterly ignorant thing to do.  Next task is to find any quotes I can about Roger. Will revert on this one. I also don't know anyone on QOL because I'm not registered there. But it would still be nice to meet some people who are. |

@ cooper and alison: you don't need to be registered!! just join the meeting!! i don't know all of them myself (there are like 7000 users) but it's pretty much the same lot who posts a lot... i know like 30-40 of them, but it's lots of fun!!!

Yes the number of users is mainly what puts me off, although I noticed that there is a solid core of posters, the board is a real mess and non-posting members should be deleted. I also dislike the QOL site in general, it's too grey, has little character and is difficult to navigate. I don't think I would have much to contribute to the QOL forum discussions but I did e-mail one member - Darren Mitchell - who was awaiting 'Sir Didymus's' upload of Roger's BBC Breakfast interview on 14 Jul because I'd transcribed it on my tour page from a VHS recording and thought he might like to read it in the meantime. |

I'm a member there myself, but I hardly post. I'm very busy on this board, as you might noticed yet. *g* And another German Queenboard and a not Queen related one. These 3 boards I do post regularly on. I can't handle more of them. I'm sure the QOL meeting will be fun, but I can't go for several reasons. Mainly private ones.  |

i'm sure we'll be able to organise a meeting for this board as well!! This would be the best thing! It was so nice to meet Brigitte, Eliza, Elenir and Sarah in Cologne! But we hadn´t enough time to chat! First the concert, then the Hyatt bar... I was so busy in staring at Roger and Brian (mainly Roger ;D) and at least it was so late that i was tired! (old-age, you know ) A PEBs meeting would be a highlight in my life!!!!!!!! Til then we can dream about where (London? ) and when (spring ?) |
