That's true. I think it's because Pluto's not big enough for being a planet. He's revolving around the sun together with other objects, like asteroids, that have related dimensions. One of these asteroids is even bigger than Pluto itself!

Yes, they created another group called "Kleinplaneten", I have no idea what it's called in English. I think it not only has something to do with the size. They always had some trouble with Pluto and Charon. Anyway, they found this other thing, "Xena", which would be a planet, too, if Pluto was. So they decided to create another group and put Pluto and Xena in there. But it seems that Charon is still considered a moon. *cough* Sorry. Ignore me.
