Queenie here - it's lunch time and we're slowly recovering from the aftermaths of last night's party! Dead tired because we got back very late (8:00 am). And once again we have proof that free booze IS deadly!
The premiere was just great - a lot better than Thursday. Brian and Rog didn't play at the Musical Dome, but they came onstage and seemingly enjoyed the standing ovations.
After the show there were two parties to go to. One was at the Hardrock Cafe and the other one at Cologne's Flora.
The party at the HRC was for all the fans, so inevitably the other one was the place where everybody wanted to be. The "magic ticket" for that one was an orange wristband! For the other one a grey one was sufficient
YUP! We were at the right location and could see them play. After the premiere we were taken to the party by a bus shuttle. Food was excellent but you had to fight for it! ;D But at least there was plenty of free drinks. (By the way - bear is liquid bread!)
At first the brilliant cast performed a few songs before Queen took over the stage! It took a little bit longer because Jim Beach insisted on NO PICS!
Somehow many fans managed to sneak in again and therefore Queen had to be protected by bodyguards and attended their own aftershow within the aftershow party (like Thursday)
Roger was already "drunk" when he hit the stage but in a very good mood (black trousers, same shirt as Saturday on TV!) They started off with Tie your mother down, followed by: I'm in love with my car, Sleeping on the sidewalk - the full setlist will follow once we're sober again.
Well, I've gotta go and Brigitte can step in and tell you everything that I forgot to mention!
