Whether you know something about contacts Roger with drugs? Because Freestone in his book remembers something. Maybe marijuana or cocaine? I just re-read Peter's book and found no mention of Roger and drugs...he just states Roger was the "party animal" in Queen, along with Freddie of course...

I only remember that Roger said something about trying Marijuana once and he thought "his head was on fire" or something like it. I also read a brief chapter from the internet of a book where he and the guys from some band (Cheap Trick?) went for lunch in London and cocaine was involved there somehow (don't quote me on this). My guess would be that lots of musicians in the 70's or earlier had their experience with drugs at some point. Just my 2 cents.

I guess so, too. And I'm sure that it still happens now, with some of them at least...

I think Roger would have tried everything and anything he wanted. Lets face it, nobody tells Roger what to do and If he wants to do something he will. I'm sure now he's calmed down and only drinks but the huge amount of weight loss in the early years is a sure sign of cocaine!.

Roger and drugs? Of course he did! There is no question about it, when you're touring the way Queen did, when you are surrounded (and so strongly close to) with Freddie, who definitely tried it more then once, that you have the opportunity And because Rogers' flesh is weak (til a certan level, sssht I **try** to be serious -maybe-), and he is a man of the world he sure did try it. Why not? It is the world of rock n roll, agreed again with sam, and the remark of eliza does in fact close the conversation Sure Roger tried it. He tries all the exciting things, even the girls! Some 'tries' asked for more, and other were just tries and he gave up. Geesh, it is as if I talk about myself! But I dont think that Freestone has an idea about Rogers' life. He was Freddies' assistant in the end, not Rogers' He did not write it in his book, as far as I know, and I do (with Brigitte) remember there is somewhere a quotation that Roger admits it. But I cannot thing he is using it still now, anyway not at a frequent base

Well, as for my comment about Peter's book, I was just replying to Dodo's post that started this very thread - I never stated that Roger tried or not tried this or that .

Yep our Rog has always been 'weak' on the flesh side ... seem to remeber an interview in South Africa a few years ago where that came up and he said sth like: The temptations of flesh eh?
