I've been reading this thread and (apart from the sex discussion) the most hilarious thing to me was that NO ONE seems to like poor Brian's solos...not even his fans!!! ;D I keep wondering why no one ever had the nerve to warn him about it during the past 32 years! ;D ;D ;D (Roger says that guitarists only have ears for their instrument...and I clap my hands to this remark ). I'm with you ladies - never skip anything (just the 12' version of "The invisible man" sometimes ), but suffer in silence for the most part of those endless solos (especially on "Wembley")...I DO love Brian, and am mad for his high-pitching tunes ("Bijou" and the live version of "Last horizon"...OOOOOH! Though I feel kinda torn up inside and must close my eyes when he goes really high. Pain is so close to pleasure LOL!), but those solos are sooo long and not very musical...sorry dear ... I'm not a fan of "Get down" (especially the "Killers" version is more painful than Brian's solos to me!!! ), but my least fave song is "The hitman" - no doubt (B again!!!). I have to switch the volume down to go through that - too heavy for me. I used to do the same with "Sheer heart attack" once...I knew it was intended to be a punk parody or whatever, but only listened to that one because Freddie sang it...I liked the lyrics though, and they did make me like the song better after a while. Roger is brilliant at lyrics . I found "Drowse" and "She makes me" very boring at first - understand them better now. And my less fave album is..."Queen II" (*runs away and hides before the storm begins* ). "Hot space" is probably their worse album (mainly because it's not very "hot" or "warm" to me...I like funk, you know, but they could have done better)...still I'm listening to that one more than I do with "Queen II". It sounds strange to me - and Freddie is going falsetto all the time or so, and the songs go on fading forever...I very much prefer the previous and the next album. Sorry for going blah-blah all this time!!! (I DO sound like a solo from Brian ;D).

Your less fave album is "Queen II"?? I'm sure most of the girls will be gutted. ;D Not me though. I do like this album, but not as much as the next ones. "A Day at the Races" is my fave.

I find myself listening to "Innuendo", "The miracle" and "Jazz" the most. They have this very hard side and this very soft side with nothing in the middle (...well, NOT MUCH in the middle)...like Freddie would say!

I've been reading this thread and (apart from the sex discussion) the most hilarious thing to me was that NO ONE seems to like poor Brian's solos...not even his fans!!! I think my brother does. But I don't know whether he counts - he's a guitar player. ;D Actually I thought it was much better live than on DVD. And my less fave album is..."Queen II".

I knew someone was going to be shocked! ;D Reading the boards here and there, I learned that everyone loves "Queen II" a lot - even the 4 guys (or was it only Brian?) consider it their best CD, I think...But what can I do?! I've been listening to that CD for 9 years without perceiving any change in my reception of it... (Please don't tell this to Bri and Rog, just in case I were to meet them one day! ).
