Old Friends is one of my favourite Roger songs. I think most of his songs are great compositions with fantastic lyrics.

Among these ones, "It's an illusion" - no doubt. You will learn I love almost any kind of music, from rock to '70s disco to gospel...and on and on...but a good "though" song always urges me to storm around and crash into my furniture! ;D Really - I did love that song madly from the very first time I listened to he SF album. To me it's nearly as energy-providing as my beloved "I want it all" or "Don't stop me now". I'm a fairly quiet person on the outside, but like Brian would put it, "I'm boilin' up inside"... . P.S.: I really discovered "SF" and "Man on fire" later on...but still love "Illusion" the most.

LOL what did they say?? Did they look at you in a weird way? There was only one other person around and I don't think they saw me! I embarassed myself by singing along very loudly to No More Fun at 6.30 in the morning and not realizing two policemen were walking by ...

If we are talking about The Cross too...well, I only could find "Blue rock" so far (the vinyl...in a street market again...it didn't cost me much, I guess the seller didn't know what it was about ), but I recently lost my usual ( !!!) patience and did a search for "Roger Taylor" on Emule. I was so lucky to find all the Cross albums and rarities ! but they are all zipped files, and I haven't had the time to unzip them and listen to the stuff so far. I want to hear them all in a row...full immersion ...not just one here and one there. I hope I'll have the time to do this on Sunday! Anyway, I had managed to download some of the Cross songs before I found their complete discography, and "Final destination" is my fave so far - that wonderful "crescendo" ...I could also find "Keep on running" (nice cover track that didn't make it on "SF", with Freddie's back vocals ...it really suits Roger...) and other interesting things...
