Has someone read a book titled "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" or maybe watched the film? Is it worth to read/watch?

I have read it. It's from the german writer Patrick Süsskind. The book was kind of disturbing yet thrilling. Haven't watched the movie yet, but I've heard it's supposed to be good. If someone goes from criminal literature, I highly recommend the Inspector Jury series from Martha Grimes. I just love them!

I´ve read this book (Perfume). I don´t like it. Really, I don´t. It wasn´t thrilling in any way for me, just disgusting... but it was in the reader´s charts for months when it appeared....

My favourite book is still 'The Pillars Of The Earth' /Ken Follett. The story goes on over several decades during 1300 p.C.n. (or sth like this) and is very interesting, partly thrilling. But written very komplex

A few months ago I read a great book of Simon Beckett, a new writer from Britain. The book's called "the chemistry of death" and I read the whole book in one day! And my boyfriend downloaded "the prestige", I really loved that movie!! David Bowie plays in it too, I almost didn't recognize him!

btw, Great idea this thread!!! Absolutely agree! Yes! I know they're old, but I love films such as "Shining", "Easy Rider" or "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". It's classic and it's perfect I love watching Jack Nicholson who plays in them. If somebody haven't watched them already I recommend them.

Glad your liking the thread people ;D Just another excuse to get us talking lol I love all the disney pixar movies. My favourite author is Stephen King. Mind you saying that recently I've tried reading Danse Macrabre and gave up half way through ~ it's actually his opinion on horror stuff. I'm now reading The Dark Half, but I'm not into this at all. I shall probably persist ~ no doubt like most Stephen King novels it shall get MUCH better towards the end lol

Don't like Stephen King AT ALL. Horror..... euch makes me ran a mile. but each to their own. Love Terry Pratchett and Lord of the Ring, Wuthering Heights and Salomon by Oscar Wild are some of my all time favourties. Also like Hello God this is Anna ( or Anna's book) and the Little Prince, but not on a regular basis... more for what they stand for. Ah ... and Momo by erm... Michael Ende ( forfot his first name AAARRRRGGHHHH.... I'm definetely getting old, the memory is going)

Well, as far as books go, I can only say: Terry Pratchett - genius!
Mmmm, TV series: House, Angel/Buffy - and does anyone know Long Way Round with Ewan McGegor?
Movies... Willow? I really loved that one! I still do.
If anyone needs some Bollywood movie tipps - ask me!
Oh, and I just started reading a manga called "Tramps Like Us", which is really good. I ordered the second book already. As far as mangas go I only read Ranma 1/2.
