(Sniff sniff) I feel so lonely ...so many PEBs in the UK (and Jade is even in Truro!!!) or Germany...where are my italian mates? Maybe it's because we don't usually deal very well with foreign languages...so there aren't many Queen fans who actually POST on not-italian boards...Does anyone know what became of Ellie? I saw she was very active here, and even named herself "the threads girl"...then, all of a sudden, she apparently vanished...

Yeah, so sad she has vanished. I remember her having trouble with her personal situation at that time.

But don't be sad, Roberta. You can always come to this place and have a good chat with the girls here. It's almost as good as having someone "in real" to talk to about Roger and Queen.

But it would be nice to actually have someone nearer...in case the boys should come here again, also - my husband would drive me to see them, but well...he's not a fan, just a casual listener, and anyway I couldn't try and kidnap Roger with his help ;D.
...Did I say "kidnap"? I meant, go and talk to...YES, I really did! ;D I've even begun to have conversations with him in my mind...talking about obsessions AND dreams!

There's nobody around here either. Hubby doesn't like to talk about Queen, although he loves their music. Let's say, he's only into their music, not into them as persons. It's fine with me as long as I can do what I want in terms of drooling and stuff. He went with me to one concert though. In munich and he enjoyed it very much!

I'd like to decorate our appartment with Queen a bit, but he refuses to have the boys on the walls... There is some really tasteful stuff though, nothing at all like kiddies room decorating. But well..... I'm quite content with it like it is. He has to cope with so many of my hobbies already, he can't relate to, like audioplays and gardening.

I don´t have anyone to talk about Queen either. Not in person. Well, there´s my friend, but she´s more into Freddie and certainly not the way I´m into Roger... *big sigh*. Thx God there´s the board.

Yeah it´s a pity that Ellie left. I remember she had troubles, too. Maybe she´ll join us again anytime

My hubby is really nice, I have to admit...he tolerates many things that I'm not sure I could bear myself!!! ;D He even lets me talk about the boys and their private lives and the things that make me feel bad about them...like Freddie or Roger having a very, mmh, lively sexual life (I'm totally into faithfulness...)...or when Bri and Rog appear on American Idol or have Paul singing "WATC"...He's a great listener, after all - doesn't talk too much! The right husband for me ;D - though I'd wish he was more of a talker sometimes. But he's a great help when I have one of my crisis about Bri and Rog doing something that I think can put Freddie down in a way...he helps me finding a balance again.
He knows I'm attracted to Freddie and Roger...though I try not to drool too much in front of him...but like I use to say, we girls can't dissociate the music we like from the artists that make it (especially if they're really charismatic or cute! ).
As for their music, he only likes part of it - not the hard songs in "Jazz", for example...and maybe he's fed up with Queen by now - 9 years like these!!! ;D Just think that when I began to buy their videos, I hadn't a video player yet, so I went to his house with the cassettes and played the stuff in front of him - and note that he can't speak english at all, so it must have been a very amusing experience to listen to all that talking!!! ;D
Anyway, I mostly play Queen when I'm alone now (though I'm singing their songs all the time ;D), also because I enjoy them more like that.
The only Queen item we have at home is a calendar, that every year I hung in the kitchen. I used to do that before we married (I had one in my bedroom), so I told him I'd wish to have that at least, not bothering him with any other Queen pic around. But I think he wouldn't object to have something like Cooper's 4 arty pictures on a wall - I showed them to him, and he agreed they were nice.
Once I put one of those Roger's Break Free shots on our desktop...just for a joke...and my hubby said...NOTHING! ;D Then I asked him, did you like that beautiful girl I put on our desktop? and he said, oh, yes (...without really minding, you know). So I explained that it was a joke anyway, and that I didn't mean to leave that pic there - then I asked, did you think I meant to? and he answered, oh, I didn't think anything! I know it may sound strange, but he's like that sometimes ;D. It's that he doesn't mind or hasn't got strong opinions on things - but he's patient and understanding, and used to my craziness (I call it enthusiasm) anyway ;D. Though I must begin to behave a little more, I guess, or I could go off the line with something before really knowing...
