I'll have a look with my basic German skills. All I'll be able to pick up is 'the'! ;D Why do you have so many words for the? *does a Jen* - was that used in the right context? It's weird isn't it? That's why German is considered very difficult to learn. Poor sod you are, Danielle. ;D Apparently its easier to learn than French, though!

I don't know what to press to get the umlauts though! Just found a website - testing! - ä Yay! ;D Hey, that's good! If you cannot make the umlauts, you can always write "ae" instead of "ä", "oe" instead of "ö" and "ue" instead of "ü". I suppose that doesn't help much, but adds to your confusion. LOL ;D

Aha... and then there is the small but important fact of the y and the z having swapped places on the keyboards... I learnt on a German keyboard and it still gets me most times... it's the Umlaute that are missing on the right side never mind the sz ( see nowhere to be seen... grrr) sz is the funny shaped one Cooper was refering to.

This one ß. Y is harly used over here. I suppose that explaines the place swap. Did you know that Germany is undergoing a change in orthography? They try to simplify the spelling for future generations of students, wich makes it difficult to me now, coz I'm used to the old spelling.

A language is a grown during many decades and nobody should be allowed to change it by laws and rules!
