I just want to see the premiere with a good friend/fellow Queen fan who lives near theatre. I hope I can also meet up with other fans there, maybe from Austria and/or you guys! ;D If it was just for watching a performance you can easily go to one of the previews which will probably be a lot cheaper and will leave you with more money to spend for a night out afterwards with your friend. For example on the 19th! We could meet up! And a PEB meetup is better than any aftershow party anyway...

I just said I wasn't bothered - that's different from the way you put it Eliza. Of course I'd love to see/hear them play but I never thought it would be part of the deal. I'm glad that the Cologne aftershow was enjoyable - I'd had the impression when we met that it had rather been ruined by the collective efforts of Jim Beach and the German Fan Club It would just be lamentable if these things weren't right for me somehow. I've been blessed that every Queen event I've gone to so far has been so right - with the possible exception of Wembley because the venue was so bad. It's just that, as soon as my friend got the date from local advertising, which was months ago now, we have been planning this and I booked holiday for it. So all I'm hoping for now is my tickets. If going to a preview night would have been tantamount to the same thing I'd have booked different holiday dates with that in view - but it's done now.

I just said I wasn't bothered - that's different from the way you put it Eliza. Of course I'd love to see/hear them play but I never thought it would be part of the deal. But once you are there you have the urge to also attend the aftershow. At least that's what I wanted! ;D But your attitude is good so you won't suffer to much. I'm glad that the Cologne aftershow was enjoyable - I'd had the impression when we met that it had rather been ruined by the collective efforts of Jim Beach and the German Fan Club There were some misunderstandings concerning the high amount of charging the tickets cause the promoters gave the tickets to the FC and didn't know how much they wanted to charge for the tickets at all. It all was ok before the premiere. As far as JB is concerned he ruined it for the invited (professional) photographers - and of course for anybody else who wanted to take pics of R&B's performance. He didn't ruin the performance itself. That was brilliant! It would just be lamentable if these things weren't right for me somehow. I've been blessed that every Queen event I've gone to so far has been so right - with the possible exception of Wembley because the venue was so bad. Don't mention the tunnel of hell! ;D It's just that, as soon as my friend got the date from local advertising, which was months ago now, we have been planning this and I booked holiday for it. So all I'm hoping for now is my tickets. If going to a preview night would have been tantamount to the same thing I'd have booked different holiday dates with that in view - but it's done now. I understand it now a lot better. Thanks!

Got my ticket now and a plan of the day, etc. I'm on the balcony in the middle, fourth row. That's really Category 1 seats!
We'll arrive at the Theater at about 18:00 and get some sparkling wine in the VIP area. The musical starts at 19:30 and ends about 22:30. The only problem is that we'll arrive in Freiburg at about 1 am - and there'll be no bus home at that time....

My translation, Tiger, but never mind...let's forget about that now... ;D [glow=red,2,300] BECAUSE I HAVE A FREE TICKET TO THE PREMIERE AND ONE OF THE LIMITED NUMBER OF AFTERSHOW TICKETS THAT JACKY WAS GIVEN...[/glow] glad you said I had the right attitude, boss - I didn't dare to dream this would happen...but it just seems like another chapter of a fairy story... I will also be 'Jacky' ;D for the evening, or at least representing her because she won't be there, collecting the premiere tickets for the Fan Club members and distributing them.

My translation, Tiger, but never mind...let's forget about that now... ;D Alison, I did correct the mistake right away emailing Jen! see: thewebmistress.proboards47.com/index.cgi?board=Website&action=display&thread=1154346896&page=2#1163581115. [glow=red,2,300] BECAUSE I HAVE A FREE TICKET TO THE PREMIERE AND ONE OF THE LIMITED NUMBER OF AFTERSHOW TICKETS THAT JACKY WAS GIVEN...[/glow] glad you said I had the right attitude, boss - I didn't dare to dream this would happen...but it just seems like another chapter of a fairy story... I will also be 'Jacky' ;D for the evening, or at least representing her because she won't be there, collecting the premiere tickets for the Fan Club members and distributing them. This is the BEST. So congrats. I am so happy for you! Still I am not saying I am a "bit" jealous but I am f*ucking jealous.... I did email Jacky to apply for 2 tickets (one for me and one for Queenie) but I have heard nothing so far... I am honestly thinking my mail got lost. Also I would LOVE to go to the aftershow party. So if you have any influence on that - please please count me in, will ya?

GREAT!!!!!! We PEBs really are everywhere! I'm jealous, too, I guess. I hope you blog/podast about it! I'm going to the pre-premier tomorrow.... *excited* Mmm, what should I wear? I'm taking my old camera with me, but it's not digital. So if I take any pics it'll take some time. But perhaps someine else with a digital cam is going and takes some (of the theater etc).

All I can do is put a word in - which I shall do - I know what the figures are, and I know that Jacky has only received a very small number of aftershow tickets compared to premiere tickets - but I don't know if she has any particular people in mind. I wasn't aware of it, but I must have been e-mailed in advance of others because of the need for someone to 'do the honours' with the tickets, but I understand that all the premiere tickets are free - I don't think that will be a 'secret' anymore as of Monday...
