Hi All- Browsing the internet this afternoon...and came upon the Rex Features website which has a few pictures from last night's premiere. Roger looks lovely as always. I sat in the first row in Vienna and as soon as Roger was on stage at the end and I spottet THE suit I shouted "Oh no, not again. Doesn´t he have the money for a new one?" . The guy next to me (such a VIP guest with no plan why he was there or what Queen is... ) looked at me a bit confused... ;D ;D For S. ... I nearly landed in her arms when we were standing in lines at the entrance to the theatre, waiting for Roger. Someone pushed me aside in a very rude way  and I shortly lost balance and stumbled forward.... directly to S. |

Thanks to my new job I can hardly go online anymore. This makes it a bit hard for me to post cause I am just knackered at home after sitting 10-12 hours in the office. So I will just give a short summary. Pictures will follow later - I didn't even manage to get them off my camera ( Sarah: The pic of us in Cologne is also still on my phone) but I hope I get both things on the comp over the weekend. Flight was EARLY (7.00 am) !!! After landing safely we went to McDonalds for breakfast and then to the hotel where we could check in directly. We didn't do any sightseeing that afternoon but were able to follow everything that was happening in front of the theatre cause the hotel was just opposite the the theatre.  Got ready for the premiere (Tobi looked so cute - not that the rest of us weren't dressed for the occasion!). Went over and waited for everyone to arrive. It was super crowded at the entrance and you weren't even able to get yourself a drink inside the theatre or get rid of your coat, etc....  You have seen the pictures of Roger and the "suit" so I will not get into detail. We was in a fine mood and signed tons of stuff including Tobi's pass and then he vanished inside. Even sitting inside the theatre he was hassled by people. I have never watched that in the UK! Very annoying. After the premiere there were shuttle busses who drove the "VIP's" into the party location which was the Semper depot. If you look for Robbie William's video lovelight on youtube.com you get a fine idea of what it looks like. Christian emailed me pictures of the location. I will add them later. Stunning place. To get into the bus and the aftershow party you had to have a wristband. I had mine with the ticket but got Coops, Jürgen and Tobi in with the help of two other people. Bless them!  The thing that irritated me lots was the lack of a stage. I was outside talking to a friend who works for bb promotion and I hadn't seen her for a long time. A guy next to her was talking with a walkie talkie and the next thing I heard was "Roger's in" then "Brian has arrived" and then "Brian's guitar is in". To cut a long story short: They didn't play and I don't know why they didn't. Like in Zurich it was a aftershow within an aftershow party. Not everyone was invited to the Semper depot and those who were weren't nessecarly getting into the back of the location were Roger, Brian, Ben and all from the cast were. I still don't understand it all. But we managed to have a super good evening and enjoyed it very much. There was a speech from the lady of the "Wiener Bühnen" and one from Ben. Roger wanted to vanish as soon as someone finished his speech. That was quite funny because every time somebody held him back. ;D He was also kissed by the lady of the "Wiener Bühnen". LOL! I understand that they were - allegedly - too tired to play at the aftershow - at least that might apply to Brian - what does Roger do to make himself tired?  ;D Does he really have an excuse? I remember that Kathrin Zechner saying that she'd grown up with Queen and Brian grimaced, indicating that either he found it a painful cliche, or someone had trodden on his toe, or both! Ben was the only one who actually spoke! More in my next Fan Club magazine article - will be a while yet before it comes out, I expect! ;D |
