Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice from any collecters of The Cross material. I have finally tracked down a reasonbly priced copy of Mad, Bad via ebay and the seller declared it to be an original version. I've opened it and I'm suspicious for a number of reasons
1. The booklet printing is good quality but looks slightly off centre, though this may be a design feature of the original 2. The actual CD case is very thin like a modern one, not like they were made in 1990 3. The CD, if held up to the light is translucent like a modern thinner CD 4. The copyright text on the topside of the CD just runs into the inner ring of the CD itself, like poorly aligned printing. 5. There are visible track marks, NOT like a burned CD, but like the style of replication in early CD manufacture on both sides of the disk.
I am waiting to hear back from a friend who owns a genuine copy purchased on release, but until then, if anyone can confirm or deny the status of my purchase I'd be grateful. I don't want to sound ungrateful either, but best guesses and opinions won't get me a refund on ebay, so I do need an authoratative answer if anyone can help.
Cheers, Mike.

Hm. Well, one thing I can say for sure is that the CD case is a normal one, not a thin one.
I'm at my parents at the moment and I have divided my Cross stuff between me and my brother and at the moemnt I am not quite sure whether I have Mad, Bad or he does. I'll take a look when I come home though. Please have a bit more patience.
And welcome. It's a bit queit here lately.
Can I ask what a "reasonable price" is?
