Thanks for the info, Sarah, and the link to the pics of course. So the beard is still on? ;D Great pics! I wished I had seen them doing 39 once in my life... I do expect some detailed report from Jeng & Tring when they have recovered, please...! |

I do expect some detailed report from Jeng & Tring when they have recovered, please...! Ha ha ha..........yes a detailed report will follow when I'm feeling slightly less tired (went to sleep gone 3am this morning!!) But, oh dear god what a night!! All week I had been wondering whether they were gonna turn up but I didn't say anything to Trina not wanting to get her hopes up but they are in the country recording the album and Paul is supposedly going to the Led Zepplin gig in a couple of weeks so the chances were high!! The Foo's made their way from the main stage to the small accoustic stage which was closer to where we were sat so it made things a lot better!! (It came down from the ceiling how cool is that!!) Played a couple of songs and then Dave said they were gonna bring on some guests (Trina and I were hoping and praying by this point!) but he said they were gonna do something they haven't done before (so we started thinking okay maybe not....so who is it??) but then Dave screamed 'Brian Mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and Rogggggggggerrrrrrrr Taylorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' Trina and I went absolutely insane!! It is the first time I have properly jumped up and down and screamed!!! I think the people around us thought we were mad, especially when the guys had left the stage and the guy next to me said 'I take it you know them then' LOL They did indeed play '39 with Brian and Taylor Hawkins singing vocals and you could hear roger singing backing vocals!! I videoed it but the sound quality is awful!!  It was absolutely brilliant and everything I dreamed it would be, I'm just so relieved that after so many years of reading about the Foo's with Roger and Brian I've finally got to witness it for myself ;D p.s I am also hoping they don't repeat it tonight when I'm not there  |
