Roger's interview in Moscow seems to have upset Brian so much he had to comment on it in his soapbox ( www.brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssbfeb04.html#35). Personally I think Roger's comments were basically meant as a joke and didn't come over as that due to the translation. Should Brian comment on it at all? What's your point?

I think Roger has always been outspoken with his opinions and this is nothing new or shocking. But if Rog is entitled to speak freely, then Brian should be too, even though I didn't think what Roger said was a big deal. Thanks for pointing out Brian's official site. Before coming here I didn't realize Brian or Rog had official sites. Bad Queen fan! Bad! Bad!

I think Roger has always been outspoken with his opinions and this is nothing new or shocking. Yes, one very good thing about him, I think! But if Rog is entitled to speak freely, then Brian should be too, even though I didn't think what Roger said was a big deal. Sure he should do though I had prefered he had called him first and talk it over before posting it on his soapbox. I would surely have done that. And no, it was surely no big deal to get upset about it. Before coming here I didn't realize Brian or Rog had official sites. Bad Queen fan! Bad! Bad! Bad fan indeed! and welcome to the board!

They should sort that out behind closed doors! No dirty laundry in the public.
But I do think that Brian had some point there re the paycheque ... You shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you ...

They should sort that out behind closed doors! No dirty laundry in the public. Why not? It can be quite entertaining.... NOT! But I do think that Brian had some point there re the paycheque ... You shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you ... You are totally right here, Queenie! No-one forced Roger in front of the camera to record this advertisement or play drums on WWRY with this boyband. And somehow he has to pay his bills as well.... ;D

Yep! As I said, if he doesn't agree with it he could do a "John Deacon".
And as far as WWRY is concerned - I'd rather have some activities than none at all! And there is no guarantee that they'd be touring, recording or whatever else if the musical wasn't around!

Sure there would probably be not any activities if it wasn't for promoting the Musical. Don't get me wrong - I love it! Otherwise I wouldn't watch it again in 2 weeks time... ;D
BUT because they are so involved with this there is hardly a chance that they'd be doing anything else for the next couple of *gasp* years to take it around the world. I do wish though that Brian has the same idea one day as Roger had: Namely record original material and go on tour. They are far too talented to just play WWRY on charity gigs for the 1.000st time!

I fully agree with you. Of course I'd rather see some new material released instead of the umpteenth WWRY version, but it's better than nothing after all.
And Roger could easily produce/record another solo record! How about that?! We would love it!

I've often thought of Roger and Brian as two kids who if one says something would probably upset the other one. You'd think though by now Brian would be used to Rogers ways

Did't Brian say they still quarrel about "everything under the sun"? Seems like growing older doesn't prevent you from still getting upset about a friend.
