Another possibility is what happened to a famous Italian football player in one of the World cups. His wife dumped him for another team player and he was so mad he wanted to kill him. The whole affair came up in every newspaper. I am sure some of you will recall the event. I rememeber his surname finished in 'ini' but I am so terrible at remembering names.  |

I just had a thought... which may or may not apply in Rog's case. Sometimes it happens that after a while of being with someone your own age and with the bakc gound Dom has i.e. education that some men of a certain age want a woman who is more plyable i.e. someone they can teach stuff. i am sure that with Dom's background in education and work she is/was able to think for herself and develop her own opionins. Some men find this rahter hard work. A younger woman can be moulded... maybe that's what happened here. But i don't think Debbie was that famous, more a case of being well known. One could be a cynic and suggest that she needed to get involved with someone famous in order to stay in the limelight which is something she obviously aspired to. But on another note, having been a model she is also used in being in front of a camer and knows how to move/stand etc. Dom probably didn't nor was she taught how to.  These days you get poeple to show you and tell you how to behave in front of the press i ncluding your family, which might also be a reason why her children know how to be when the press is around. She will have taught them, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. |

To be honest I don't think it is fair for us to speculate on what went onbetween all three of them during that time and completely pointless as we will never know the answer!
What we know is he the relationship was over and they decided to get married for the financial/emotional stability of the kids which at that time marriage was very important, these days the laws have changed and they don't have to. She definately didn't do it for the surname as she always kept her own!
I have heard and read alot of things about Debbie that give me quite a nasty impression about her but as I am now her biggest fan ha ha I don't want to go down that road and this shouldn't become a site slagging off the girlfriends anyway!

Her children must be really proud of having a mum who knows how to move and stand but then what went wrong, do you think? She definitely is someone of his own world. |

Completely agree, Trina! Although I'm not the biggest fan of Debbie, but I do like her.  Hell, how can I even say something nasty about without knowing her at all. Of course we will never know for sure, still it seems that there are plenty of people who like to speculate, even back then. Debbie is showbiz whereas Dom is not, I don't think there is anything wrong with either. Simply a case that each of them had something different to offer as far as her relationship with Rog was concerned. |

Simply a case that each of them had something different to offer as far as her relationship with Rog was concerned. :)I understand what you're saying and I think there was more speculation on Debbie than on Dom because Debbie has been on the limelight more than Dom,being a model :)If Rog left Dom for another young girl not famous at all,they would have only written bad things on Rog(a man with a very turbulent love life who likes young girls and so on.. )and maybe nothing about the girl but...This girl has been quite famous before meeting him and journalists had lot of meat to cook(how can I say it in English?  )...It's their fault sometimes if people build up a bad image about a famous person without knowing her/him(mea culpa...sometimes I'm one of these people...  )...I know it's stupid,but we do it at times...For me,i've to learn to do not judge the book by the cover...sometimes |

To be real happy about a book, I suppose you have to judge it by the inside and the cover. Having only one of these two aspects won't make the book a success. This would apply to many things in life I suppose.  |
