Hi again Could someone tell me why there's a complaint in Brian's letters about the posting of porn on QOL? I'm not registered there as I've always felt that the forum is something of a 'dog's breakfast' ;)with all those pages and pages of posts and users... My local library actually doesn't allow access to the site. I haven't found out why... but maybe that's the reason. I have to say that this apparent lack of control surprises me - the forum may be for fans, but it's linked to the official website for the group.

Long time no see, Alison! *waves* I've been trying to figure out what that guy meant. Perhaps he referrs to the Brian thread, that a bunch of girls has set up. Where they write naughty stories involving Brian.

I think that might be the point. I even found some slash stories about the boys. I don't think it's okay to have them over at the official forum. But I think Brian in a way is responsible for it - wether he goes to the forum or not. I understand (in a way) what the guy was driving at....

Thanks for posting the link! And here I was thinking it was about the slash stories on the QOL board (still I think they shouldn't be there!)

Thanks for posting this, Kim. I was looking for that thread, but couldn't find it. It's all about spam bots that posted porn links. I dunno exactly what this is so maybe someone (boss?) could enlighten us.

Users have been signing up and they can put website addresses in for their home page like we can here. The 'users' (spambots) have been this and advertising porn sites. People have been asking for something to be done about it for months and then someone wrote to Brian about it as the bots were then starting to make threads etc.

I can't get access to the thread because I'm in the library. But I'm amazed that the things mentioned have happened on an official site.

wow i havent been on queenonline for a while. Porn is on all forums though. U2.com thier monitors pull stuff of like that right away.. Criss Angel's if there is a subject that is not liked, becomes locked or deleted. Queenonline needs to be stricker with moderating.

I've never noticed those spam bots I gotta say, but I'm not the busiest QOL member after all.
