Another "inside story" about Rog - and before someone starts to think I'm putting him down, I'M NOT! I'll give you my point of view after telling the facts... An italian lady (and english teacher), whose son has a friend who's a Queen fan, was in London some days ago. She went and see a place where she had lived many years before, in the center of the town, and found that there was a bodyguard outside. So she asked who was living there, and the bodyguard answered it was Roger Taylor's from Queen! The lady wanted to get an autograph for his son's friend, so she asked if she could see him, and the bodyguard said he was about to come out. After a while, Roger appeared, looking ruffled and drowsy like he had woke up a moment before...he even let his cell phone slip...The lady stopped him and told him that she had lived in his house, etc. - Roger just nodded a couple of times. Then, before she could ask for an autograph, he got into a car (on the passenger's seat) telling her "Write me a letter...bye!" and went away... Now - according to who posted that (the lady's son's friend, the one she wanted an autograph for), this was an unpolite behaviour...but WTF! I say - boring someone on his own door with an entirely personal story about living in his house years ago, while he's plainly in a hurry - what do you expect?

I dont know if i believe that ,a bodyguard waiting outside his doorstep?? Come on. I don't think Roger would say that either "write me a letter" like anyone could even get a letter to him LOL

Whether it's true or not, we all have our off days. Even famous people, maybe even more so, given how the British press and some fans hound them.

Mmmmm, well. I could understand him. If someone would stop me when I'm half-asleep and in a hurry to tell me that she lived in that house I would be very tended to say the same. He couldn't know that she wanted an autograph. We're all human and have our bad days. Perhaps that guy wasn't the bodyguard but the driver who waited outside the house for Roger.

I don't know if that guy was really a bodyguard (had the same thought, why was he on Roger's doorstep?), but I don't think the story is made-up or something. As for that "Write me a letter", it could just be a way to send that woman off without actually being rude...The point is, people tell those stories and then they use them to build Roger a reputation, as if they liked to find faults in those they claim to love...I can't get this . And BTW, being Roger, I would very likely react the same way in that kind of situation...

Dunno what to think of this story, but Roger's "bodyguard" telling strangers/fans that Roger Taylor of Queen is living there, isn't really likely and smart, is it?

I don't know whether that guy was a bodyguard, but a friend of mine went there as well and there was indeed staff outside who sent her away after she tried to take pics of his house. If I was Roger, I would have thought "WTF!" It's not very polite to annoy famous people in their privateness. Just my two cents of course.

If this story is true I think it´s ok from Rog to say this letter thingy. Better than saying sth like 'leave me alone' or 'bugger off' ;D

Sounds a bit strange to me. If their talkin' about the house trina and I have walked past there was no one there. Alright he probably wasn't there at the time but come on, bodyguard outside his house. That's pretty much advertising that he lives there!! Plus I don't think I'd be too cheerful if I'd just woken up and someone accosts me outside to spout on about how they once lived there................
