Actually, or should i say unfortunately, I think that long time ago i heard something about Roger and hunting... Something to do with Brian, i think. Maybe it was an interview with Brian, and he mentioned it. But i'n not sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong..but what happened was that he was scheduled to appear at a concert being given by some country society that supported fox hunting....he ended up canceling on them though....
at the risk of being stoned..I don't really see what the big deal would have been if he HAD appeared...it would have been his right to his opinion...just because someone likes fox hunting although some view it as cruel doesn't mean that they are horrible murderous Nazi fiends.....
I'm not a hunter and I don't like killing animals...but isn't in a fox hunt another animal (dog) killing the fox and the people are just mostly riding along chasing the dogs?
I'm much more against say going out and shooting deer and hanging their heads on the wall...but if someone wants to do it I don't think they are a crazy murderer...I just find it wrong to kill something that you don't intend upon eating and has not threatened you in any way............
Just my thoughts....but No Roger did not perform...but if he had wanted to that would have been his opinion.......in my opinion that is ;D

My understanding is that he cancelled his planned appearance.
A few months later, I saw another indication that he does support the Countryside Alliance in a letter someone sent to Brian's site which appeared there.
I guess what he does as a private individual is his own business but his public support of such an organisation by playing at a concert would clearly put him at direct loggerheads with Brian - an intolerable situation knowing the strength of Brian's opinion on this subject.

I didn't mean it was okay for me LOL....I'm just saying that it's the dogs killing the foxes and the dogs rip them up frankly...if it were people doing the shooting like one shoots a buck or game animal I don't know if people would be as upset about it as they are.... But it's Roger's personal opinion and if he likes it or something I don't think he's evil for it or anything...he just sees it differently...of course who knows what goes on in that man's mind.....

This is true...however it wouldn't be the first time...perhaps not with a strong political or moral opinion as this is...but they've had public words before...I found an interview that I blogged about on my myspace where Roger basically said he didn't give a flying flip about Brian's opinions...circa 92 or 93......of course he was at the time referring to a comment that Brian supposedly made about "The Cross" being formed wrong or something...... Friends can disagree though.....but the foxhunting thing would be a large disagreement
