My friend is a musician and whilst playing a gig in Germany he had his guitar stolen, Its very sentimental to him and he's had this guitar all his career. None of the police or staff at the venue are prepared to help him or can't because of the language barrier.
Could someone ask them for me? This is his email:
"On Friday, March 23rd, my guitar known as "Pink" was stolen from a rock club called AJZ Erfurt (Bananae). The guitar was taken from the inside of the club while I was playing my other guitar, and smuggled out a back door that was locked and needed to be opened with a key.
The people from the club have distanced themselves from the situation, which leads me to believe it was an inside job. The police and newspapers in Erfurt are now involved and anyone from the club who said they would help has mysteriously vanished and shut off their phones.
While I was at the club, I spent time with the club managers, Aike, & Arne. These guys seemed cool. I had given them shirts and Cds. We brought in the Marshall so I could do a quick guitar show with fire. People at the club were into it and encouraged me to carry on playing. I broke a string on Pink, switched to the V and set Pink on a table next to the amp. After I finished, Pink was missing. These guys assured me that they didn't know what happened to the guitar, but, since that night and one email from Aike saying he was on the job to recover it, these people have disappeared from communication.
I remember seeing some action at the back door with a female bartender fumbling with the keys, but I paid no mind as I did not know that Pink had been taken. My band members were watching over the gear. The only way in or out was through the front door, since the back door was locked. This same bartender broke down in tears at the end of the night, I assume from guilt, but I don't speak German.
Regardless, Pink has been stolen and I ask anyone who would stand up for this symbol of rock to pour outrage to this club and their people, and not let them get away with this crime against rock 'n roll. Although the guitar is a vintage 58 Les Paul Junior, it's been burned 1000 times, and been beaten and broken and it's worth nothing to a collector. The biggest loss is to the rock fans who see my show. I no longer have Pink to burn at the end of it.
If anyone out there cares, feel free to bombard the club with messages and pressure them into giving it back.

As I am still currently in the middle of a tour in Europe, there is little I can do in Erfurt at the moment. There are people on the case outside of the authourities, and I can only hope that the thief comes forward or someone who knows something can't handle the guilt and outs the culprit of this crime.
There are two kinds of people in the world, those that are with you and those that are against you. Sometimes the two get confused.
Anyway, the show must go on.
