Hmm, this is really strange, cause like Jenny said I also heard he liked their music a few years ago!! OK, Roger's taste could've changed, but I like Coldplay and although "speed of sound" sounds a lot like "clocks" (LOVE that song) I really can't say this counts for the rest of their songs!  I've been to their concert two years ago and they were brilliant! |

I had a chance a couple of years ago when Rush of Blood came out but I choose Alicia Keys instead  Coldplay played the next day and I couldn't afford both. I would love to see them play. They did a Kylie cover on Saturday it was really good ;D Roger has gone down in my estimation if he prefers the frog and those darn darkness people to coldplay. I know Trina will argue with me here but we all have our opinions  |

I think it as usual has been taken out of context! I think he meant that he prefers the stupid crazy frog because in a way it is original even though it's remixing an old record but it is different whereas Coldplay do all sound the same!! I hated Yellow the video was horrendous and I think they are really crap!!! Roger has always spoken his mind on all bands this is not a new thing so for the papers to start saying it's sour grapes etc etc when they are bigger today that they have been for years is just rediculous!!!
sorry Jen and others i know you like them which is fine everyone is allowed their own opinions I just happen to agree with Rog on this one but not with the crazy frog part how could he ha ha!!
Also with the darkness I hated the fact he went on about them for ages! Rog they are rubbish join us and hate them!!

Completely agree with you, Trina. Never liked them. Whereas I don't really think that everything they do sounds the same I more feel like slashing my wrists after 3 songs in a row cause their music drepresses me! :)So now we know why Rog has not always been a likeable person to everybody during the 80's ....Sorry,but sometimes has been his fault,cause of criticism he had on people and saying his opinion so...with arrogance :-/Sometimes he seemed to be allowed to say what he wanted just to tease people..I dunno,but it's what comes to my mind...Like when he said that he hasn't ever known a guitar player good enough to compose Radio Gaga with his guitar..Any message to Brian ?? |
