I don't see why it would bring more audiences coz at the end of the day there have been enough documentaries about his sexuality etc on TV. For example we had 'When Freddie met Kenny' documenting quite heavily about the relationship between Freddie and Kenny Everett. There's just no need for it. Just because he is no longer with us there is no need to expose his personal life like that!!

Yes, but this is a biographic film not documentary. Seeing this from your point of view, somebody could say that there's enough documentaries about Freddie, about his private and scenic life, so what this film is for. Of course I don't think this film will be only about freddie's private life. In my opinion, it will contain a little this a little that. Anyway, we will see.. And there's no need to worry! Frieddie's friends and family won't allow showing too much...

exactly Jen I'm not even sure who and what audience they are aiming this at I have no idea except fans who wold want to see a film about him most people aren't interested! I agree though Anulka I reckon a will be a bit of both too but the private life is more sensationalism so they will focus heavily on that side to get the audiences in! oh sigh I don't know I just hope the band and family stop it being awful!

hmmmmm I wondered about the audience for such a film myself, but with Johnny Depp being such a popular actor...he is a draw by himself...

I hope he doesn't ~ I hope it flops (if they are focusing most on his private life) otherwise good luck to him

Oh...I really hope they can pull this off. I wonder how big it's going to be...The only "Rockumentary" I've ever seen that was good is "This is Spinal Tap" and none of that was real! ;D (plus that was a completely different genre.)

I think they would be paying him more respect if they left that stuff out. Johnny Depp is excellent though and I think he would do a fine job.
