I'm sorry, didn't mean to make you angry. I forgot to add something when I posted this above. Of course Roger's solo stuff would be more than suitable for the tour, it's rather that an instrumental like "Last Horizon" is kinda easier to "understand" than one of Roger's solo singles. For the average audience, like my hubby for instance. When Roger sang "Say it's not true" he kept asking me what kind of song this is. Whereas when Brian did "Last Horizon", he just listened to it, like to another guitar solo. Hell, I don't know how to explain it properly. No offence against Roger and his solo stuff. No probs hun It just gets me wound up when people are at the gigs but don't give Rog a chance like they do with Brian! (note to self - get off your soapbox!! and chill)

I think Say It's Not True was mostly considered Roger solo song during that tour and that's all! And I feel like maybe Brian pushes more of his songs... like he just HAD to add his solo to Queen's GH III - I know it got no 5 but anyway... that's not Queen really! But he had his song... and of course no Roger song was HIT enough to make it onto GH.

There was also a criterion that the songs had to have been Top 30 hits in the UK to make it on there - the reason why 'Tie Your Mother Down' doesn't appear on no. I even though it's on the DVD, of course...

As far as I know there had been a voting among the fans wich solo song should make it on GH III. And the people voted for "Driven by you".

I agree with jen it made us really angry when Brian had a solo song and Roger didn't but we came to the conclusion that Roger isn't stupid and he could have had one if he wanted to but as for the crowd liking brian's but not understanding Roger's I think Wayne (unbiased oponion) would prefer to listen to a rocky rog song than what wouls sound to him like an extended guitar solo yawn ha ha!!

I understand the reasons, but anyway, I find it a bit odd. GH is not for the fans who have all the Queen and solo stuff so there's no reason they should vote... anyway... doesn't matter now.

And I've thought of a 3rd Freddie song that's on it - Barcelona, of course, with Montserrat Caballe... 'Tie Your Mother Down' only got to no. 31. None of Roger's solo material got into the top 30, did it? So why have the poll? Not that I'm saying that I wouldn't want his stuff on there - but if the criterion is applied so strictly as to exclude a hit like 'Tie Your Mother Down', then that should surely have been the reason? It is the Greatest HITS album, after all...

No probs hun It just gets me wound up when people are at the gigs but don't give Rog a chance like they do with Brian! (note to self - get off your soapbox!! and chill) Quite a few people went to the loo during the guitar solos. (That made me angry too. So I don't know that Roger is being particularly disregarded). Even in the fan area at Wembley, there were those that did that, just as there was one woman behind me who talked REALLY loudly during the second half of 'Say It's Not True', an incident which, of course, was documented in my review. ;D I still see this song as a Queen song because, as I understand it, it was originally produced for a gig at which Queen were performing (just like 'Invincible Hope') and is therefore shown as a Queen song in my lyrical commentaries section.

No matter wich song, I'll never understand those people, continiously going to get drinks. I'm there to enjoy the music not to get drunk. At least not during the concert. There's enough time to do that before or afterwards. ;D

Don't get me started on those idiots at Wembley But your right it is a Queen song, just as Invincible Hope and The Call

I have to admit I had to go to loo during Brian's guitar solo at Wembley due to the large amount of alcohol I had consumed in the afternoon!
