Yes it is def a queen song! I don't understand people who get drunk at gigs as I need to remember what happened ha ha afterwards is fine by me! I don't mind people going to the loo during Brian's Guitar solo or if they find Roger's stuff boring coz it's personal choice but surely they should have had a solo song each!

Yep! Although I suppose Roger did get that drum solo... not that it went on nearly as long as Brians!

With the benefit of hindsight, a state of inebriation may not have been such a bad option at Wembley. It would have stopped me from becoming totally distracted by the insidiously developing cramp in my foot and by having to endure conditions which were not too far removed from those on the London Underground in the rush hour. If it had not been for these difficult circumstances, I would certainly have given the woman behind me a piece of my mind for TOTALLY ruining my enjoyment of the second half of Say It's Not True. I couldn't understand the behaviour as I was in a Fan Club area. There was someone to my left shouting out as well! I nearly decided not to go to Hyde Park because, among other things, I thought I would experience similar behaviour but that would have been a huge mistake and I can honestly say that my last-minute change of heart was one of the best decisions I have ever made. As for any of Roger's later solo stuff charting, I'll have to try to look that out. Unfortunately, the 'smelly' magazine article only covers Fun In Space and Strange Frontier because it was written at the turn of the decade. I don't know - these music journalists SHOULD be able to write about future releases which haven't been thought up yet. ;D They usually appear to think they're clever enough... ;D

yes the songs Jen mentioned definately did chart in the tops twenties as did Nazis even though it was banned! Yes Molly he did have a drum solo as did Brian have a Guitar solo. It was all fairly even really except the lenght which was Roger's choice and the fact that Brian had a solo song and Roger didn't as I said I'm sure Roger choose this but I think they should have had one each!

Maybe he just didn't want to play a solo song. How's that? I'm sure he were "allowed" to play a solo song. Maybe he just didn't feel like. Roger is certainly nobody who accepts briefings in this case. The longer I think about it, the more I get the feeling he simply didn't want to play one of his solo songs.

@ Alison if there were specific fan club areas like you suggest then Trina and I definitely weren't in one, yet we are members of said fan club. Just out of curiosity what was the person shouting??

I like the way Roger says 'I'm not gonna bore you cause I really hate long drum solos okay?!' How thoughtful of him! Although I was just starting to get into it then!

I am totally into drum solos and I just loved Roger's solo so much. It was good to see him doing them. Also it was such a blast that he played IILWMC at Brixton and starting it with "Wish me luck". Just loved it! ;D

Eliza I totally agree I'm sure it wasn't a case of your not allowed to do a solo song! As I said I'm sure he had his reasons for choosing not too but I would have prefered it to be a bit more equal! I adore drum solos but as long as Brians would have bored me ha ha

I thought Brian's solo were a little bit shorter than usual. In Munich he did only 5 minutes.

@ Eliza that's far too long LOL @ Molly - it started to get annoying after a while just as you were getting into the solo he'd stop and moan about them. It's like who cares if you don't like them we've paid for you do one grrrrrrr..........LOL

I rather doubt that Roger or Brian will tour solo again. It looks like they feel very comfortable with being Queen again and the solo work was mostly because they wanted to create something on their own, getting rid off the stigma Queen. Hi everyone!!! Been away a few days, was sick then I was in NYC. So just stopping by to checkie out the forum. Im in agreement here. As much as I love solo stuff, I love them being Queen again!
