Do you think that The Cross should had carried on ?? It was a great band. But were they huge in any country ?? I know that they weren't big in the UK, but probably in Germany. I especially like the Mad, bad.....album. "Power to love" is in my opinion under - restemated. I have read different reviews of that song, and many says that its a pompous anthem song. I think that song can actually make a stand today, with the right promotion and perhaps a little upgrading, it might be a hit again. What do you think ?

Hard to say. I should imagine even if they had (and I'm saying this in the nicest way possible before anybody lynches me), that I don't think they would've got very far in the charts today. Saying that though I don't know!! Roger's good on his own and with them so I haven't a clue!

Yes maybe. But if you have a look in the charts these days, The Cross is better than a whole lot of the other stuff on the charts.
Maybe if a younger and a fresher band did a cover version of it, maybe that would be stronger.

You and I (and probably everyone on this board) know full well that it doesn't matter what's in the charts today coz the Cross would be 10 times better ;D However I just don't think they would be successful enough to get there! Or does that make me sound pessimistic?

No it dosen't make you sound pessimistic at all ;D
I can agree with you that The Cross wouldn't have been huge succsefull enough ot make it today. But I was thinking that, if a new and fresher band did a new version of some of the old Cross songs. That might work.

Hi, I'm back again, to my "thoughts" to all that. As you can see I also hava a Taylor/Cross site and almost everything I write there is like "I LOVE THAT MUSIC" ;D And I think with promotion they would do better, for sure. Just tell people it is great and they buy it and listen to. And that it is good after all that promotion is another matter ;D I KNOW IT ;D

The only way I could see it happening if they had some hot shot producer behind it and about 4/5 cute boys dancing along to the song.

Yes I can agree with you there boyband sucks!!!!! But you said something about songs with lyrics you don't forget topped the charts these days. Well what aboutPower to Love, that is something you don't forget. Or Liar, both of them would stick in your mind and make it well in the charts.

I do hate Boy Groups as well. And all of that casting/pop star /idol crap!! Although Kurt Nielsson is kicking asses! Good bands are really hard to find these days. Real, genuine bands, where every single member can play his instrument properly plus lots of good melodies and great voices. I can't even name you 5 of them.

hi!!! ;D Not bad, you know who Kurt Nilsen is....not bad Eliza. He is one of the few left today who can play an instrument by himself. He's not as good as Roger though
