Tarzan and Jane were orignally my boyfriends cats. But now they are mine!!! So i really didnt name them. Fuzzy Gray was named by my friends which is the yard he would go daily for food and water. They names all the cats. Fuzzy is what he is. lol. Whiskers Pooh. well She has long white whiskers and Pooh well I i had a cat named Cuddles Pooh.. so i took the middle name from her and gave it to Whiskers..

LOL Our cat talkes a lot when he's lying in the sun. I have no idea why. In the last couples of weeks our old cat is quite active. He acts like a young cat. He wants to play a lot, screams when he wants to play, gallops through the flat, and does crazy things. Some days ago he even nibbled on a biscuit that was on the table; he must have reached there from the corner seat. When we came into the kitchen he quickly ran out. Or yesterday he climbed into wardrobe. He really didn't do such things for years.

My cat worried me again some nights ago. He again had problems with poohing. I helped him and it worked, but it was such an effort that he had to throw up afterwards. And he kept panting... I hate to see him panting, it frightens me. I went on the balcony with him, where he relaxed. It was cool outside, since it was after 3 a.m. I stayed a bit outside with him, ate a muffin and then took him in. He was ok again. I think the heat is giving him problems. He is old and has some problems with his heart after all. Though cats are desert animals, I think. He's lying around all day (a very sensible thing to do). Today he seems quite fit. Though he did have some "clumsy moments" today. For example I went to him from behind and he didn't notice me. He was suprised when he did and jumped up - what shocked me because I didn't know he didn't notice me. LOL ;D Later he was nosing around in my dads room and got his head stuck in the camera stand. I wasn't there in time to help him so it fell on him while he was trying to pull his head out. He's not hurt.

Ohh poor thing. Maybe his hearing is going. Wonder if they do hearing aids for animals.... hmmm they should. Both my cats have a funny quirk: Every time I have a bath they jump up on the side and start drinking the water.

Ooops sorry... not sure what happened. Anyway: the water is HOT and it has BABYOIL in it. Surely it can't be good for them but still they drink it away quite merrily. They even drink it if I put essential oils into my bath. Strange little things.

Indeed they are. I am sure it cannot be healthy.... Elenir: You have indeed a funny cat. Sorry to hear he's worrying you, though. It's kind of sad to see them getting older. My first died at the age of 19 and the last 3 years or so he changed a lot and couldn't hear as good as before. So situations like that are sad... Mine tried to catch a caterpillar tonight. I was woken up from the noise in the hall at 2 am! Should have been sleeping but the poor animal tried to get out again and my two cats tried to catch it. So I got the ladder out and caught it and got it outside. My cats were puzzled and couldn't understand where it went suddenly! ;D They kept looking for it for another half an hour...

Funny isn't it when they look for sth that you have saved from them. Done that too a few times and always had to laugh about their faces. As far as the bathwater is concerned: if it was really really bad for them surely they wouldn't be drinking it? And they both have done it since they were kittens, the oldest is 10 and Poppy is 8 and they are both fit and healthy.... <<< scratches head>>>> give up, dunno....
